A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from friends or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without effort in case you’ve got a shared hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet surprisingly simple to work with, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each of them you will find a small "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it for a second time will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different one with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will see a small sign conveniently situated directly next to each one. With just one single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature using the contextual menu that will show up. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
